About Us

Policy, brought to young people.

The Generation Brief is an independent brand promoting civic engagement among young Australians — deliberately distinct from government bodies. We focus on bringing policy to young people, rather than bringing young people to policy.

That's a two-sided idea. On one side, we deliver digestible, accessible, aesthetically engaging policy content to everyday young Australians — no jargon, no gatekeeping, no paywall. On the other, we give them a platform to write, to be published, and to be taken seriously.

Policy → to young people

Independent journalism written to bring the debates that shape their future to young Australians — credible enough to cite, readable enough to actually finish.

Young people → to policy

A submission portal, a byline, and a credibility system that lets any young Australian write about the issues they know first-hand — and be read.

We keep data collection minimal and the site free — no paywall, no ads once you've made an account, and we don't currently sell or monetise your data.

A note on AI

We use AI tools to help build and maintain this website. Every article, however, is written and edited by the young Australian whose byline appears on it — AI doesn't write or rewrite our journalism.
